Leadership for Inclusion and Equity: Pathways for Reform with Mel Ainscow

This workshop will discuss the global challenge of inclusive and equitable education. It explores pathways for reform to ensure all students, regardless of their background, have access to quality education.

6 key ideas to guide reform efforts will be proposed, emphasising coordinated efforts within and across schools.

The importance of evidence in fostering inclusive education, advocating for measuring what is valued rather than what is easily measured is emphasised; as is the fact that inclusion and equity should be integral to all educational policies, requiring a collective responsibility for reform.

Participants will have an opportunity to engage in discussions about these ideas, encouraging a deeper understanding of inclusion as a continuous process and the role of evidence in driving change. Participants will be asked to think about how to implement these principles in their own contexts, fostering a more inclusive and equitable education system.
