LIFT Program – 2027

LIFT is SASPA’s three-day professional learning program for Band B leaders in South Australian public secondary schools. It’s for Coordinators, Senior Leaders, Assistant Principals, and Deputy Principals who want to step back from the daily operational load and lead change in a more strategic, sustainable way.

Over three days across the year, you’ll work on a real change challenge from your own school, with the support of experienced school leaders and Department for Education guests.

The program covers:

  • Purpose and strategy: connecting your role to your site improvement plan and to system priorities
  • Change leadership: practical models, and the human side of bringing people with you
  • Complex conversations: frameworks and scripts for the conversations that matter most
  • Wellbeing and capacity: routines and habits that keep you effective for the long haul
  • Clinic protocols: structured peer problem-solving on the issues you’re facing right now

You’ll stay with the same table group for all three days, so you build trusted relationships with colleagues in similar roles. Many past participants say this is the most valuable part of the program.

“Real learning that suits B level leadership that actually supports me in the work I do.” – 2026 participant

“This training felt caring. I felt like those facilitating knew who I was and cared about my success.” – 2026 participant
