Session 1 - Measuring Success

Hear from Banksia Park International High School, Riverbanks College and Adelaide Botanic around their work in measuring success with their Students.

Adelaide Botanic High School: We will delve into the “Behaviours for Learning” data, collaboratively contributed by both students and staff. Our focus was on enhancing student and parent engagement in learning pathway conversations. By working together, we aimed to develop a comprehensive learner profile aligned with key capabilities, ultimately empowering students and fostering greater student agency in their educational journey. This initiative was designed to create a more personalised and effective learning experience for all involved.

Banksia Park International High School: As we move beyond traditional Department for Education data sets such as NAPLAN, SACE, and WEC, our site is exploring new ways to measure success through locally designed indicators. In collaboration with the Department’s data team, we have developed “Pulse Checks”—an approach to establishing baseline data and tracking progress towards our 2025 Site Learning Plan goals. Join us as we share our journey of collaboration, refinement, and engagement with these new measures, along with key insights and considerations for future development.
